The Shimla-Kinnaur Classic is an 8-day cultural immersion covering the Bhimakali Temple in Sarahan, the Sangla Valley, a Chitkul excursion to one of India's last villages before the Tibet border, and panoramic Kinner Kailash viewpoints from Kalpa. The full route runs Chandigarh → Shimla → Sarahan → Rakchham → Chitkul → Kalpa → Narkanda → Chandigarh, mixing heritage sites, mountain scenery, and local Kinnauri culture rather than focusing on any single theme. A minimum of 4 travelers is required to run this batch, priced from ₹39,000 per person. Unlike our Spiti routes, this stays entirely within Kinnaur district and doesn't cross into Spiti Valley itself, making it a shorter, culture-focused alternative to our longer high-altitude circuits. Breakfast and dinner, a driver-cum-guide, and stays at partner hotels along the route are included in the price.

The Shimla-Kinnaur Classic starts from ₹39,000 per person for the full 8-day itinerary, with a minimum of 4 travelers required to run the batch. This sits above our shorter Spiti fixed departures like the Half Circuit (₹12,999) since it's a longer 8-day route with more stops (Sarahan, Sangla, Chitkul, and Kalpa) and includes a driver-cum-guide and accommodation throughout. It's positioned as a cultural and scenic trip rather than a high-altitude adventure route, so the pricing reflects the longer duration and broader sightseeing itinerary rather than the specialized permits and altitude-safety inclusions that push up pricing on our Spiti Valley circuits. The main highlights of a Kinnaur Valley trip are the Bhimakali Temple complex in Sarahan, one of Himachal's most significant temple sites; the Sangla Valley, known for its apple orchards and river gorge scenery; a day trip to Chitkul, one of India's last inhabited villages before the Tibet border and often described as the end of the road in this direction; and panoramic Kinner Kailash mountain views, best seen from Kalpa at sunset. Together these stops mix religious heritage, valley scenery, and high-altitude mountain views in a way that doesn't require the same permits or altitude precautions as a full Spiti Valley crossing. Kalpa itself, where several of our partner hotels are based, is often the scenic centerpiece most travelers remember most from the route.
