This is also why the Winter Expedition and Half Circuit share a similar out-and-back structure, while Spiti with Chandrataal and the Biking Expedition are one-way loops through Manali. If seeing Chandratal specifically matters to you, it's only reachable on our June-October batches, Spiti with Chandrataal or the Biking Expedition, once Kunzum Pass reopens for the season. Winter Spiti instead trades the lake for frozen waterfalls, snow-covered high villages, and a much quieter Kaza than the summer season sees.

If you specifically want to be in Kalpa for New Year's Eve, the separate Winter Spiti NY Special (25 December - 2 January) is a dedicated single batch for that, rather than one of these 11 regular dates. Regular winter batches, unlike the NY Special, don't include a fixed New Year celebration, so they're a better fit if your travel dates are flexible rather than tied to 31 December specifically.
