Four ways to join: Solo Rider if you want to ride your own assigned motorcycle alone, Dual Rider if you're sharing a bike with a pillion passenger, Self Bike if you're bringing your own motorcycle rather than using one of ours, and Seat in Coach if you'd rather travel the full route in the support vehicle without riding at all. All four options follow the identical 6 nights / 7 days itinerary and stay at the same hotels, so riders and non-riders travel together as one group rather than on separate schedules. This makes it a practical option for mixed groups where only some people want to ride. A couple could book one Solo Rider and one Seat in Coach, for example, and still travel the same route together end to end.

Per person, before the standard 5% GST: Solo Rider is ₹39,999 (Triple) or ₹42,999 (Double), Dual Rider is ₹29,999 or ₹32,999, Self Bike is ₹19,999 or ₹22,999, and Seat in Coach is ₹24,999 or ₹27,999. Solo Rider costs the most since it includes a dedicated motorcycle, fuel, and mechanical support for a single rider; Self Bike is the cheapest riding option since you're not paying for a provided motorcycle. Seat in Coach sits between Self Bike and Dual Rider, reflecting that you get full trip inclusions (hotels, meals, guide) without any bike-related costs at all. Every tier includes the same backup vehicle, mechanic, breakfast and dinner daily, First Aid kit and oxygen cylinder, and stays at our own hotels along the route.

Every Biking Expedition batch, regardless of rider tier, travels with a support vehicle carrying a mechanic and spare parts. This matters more on this route than most, since the Kinnaur-Spiti roads can be rough and remote, and a mechanical issue far from Kaza or Tabo could otherwise strand a rider for hours. The support vehicle also carries the First Aid kit and oxygen cylinder, and doubles as the ride for anyone who needs a break from riding mid-route, or for Seat in Coach travelers for the full trip. This is the same safety setup used across all our fixed departures, just with the added mechanic and spares specific to the riding format. It also carries luggage for riders, so Solo and Dual Riders aren't riding with full bags strapped to their bikes across mountain passes.

Only Self Bike riders bring their own motorcycle. Everyone else rides or travels using what's provided. Solo Rider and Dual Rider are each assigned a motorcycle for the trip (Dual Rider shares one bike between rider and pillion), while Seat in Coach travelers don't ride at all and spend the whole route in the support vehicle instead. If you're bringing your own bike, it's worth confirming ahead of booking that it's suited to high-altitude mountain roads and stream crossings around Kaza. Our driver-cum-guide and mechanic can advise on this during booking confirmation. Self Bike riders should also carry their own vehicle documents and insurance, since these aren't included in the package the way they are for provided motorcycles. Fuel, permits, and mechanical backup for the trip are handled the same way across all four tiers.

It does. The Biking Expedition follows a similar route to our Spiti with Chandrataal circuit, ending with a night of camping at Chandratal Lake before the route continues to Manali. Over 6 nights and 7 days, riders cover the same core Kinnaur-Spiti stops (Sarahan, Sangla, Kalpa, Tabo, Kaza) before crossing Kunzum Pass to reach the lake, then exiting via Rohtang towards Manali rather than looping back the way they came. This is the only riding-format route we offer that includes Chandratal; there's no motorcycle option on the Half Circuit or Winter Expedition routes, both of which run a car-based itinerary only. Riders should note the Kunzum Pass leg is one of the more technical stretches of the route, part of why the backup vehicle and mechanic travel with every batch.

Biking Expedition batches run July through October, with 12 fixed departure dates across the season. The 11-19 July batch is currently filling fast, likely reflecting early-monsoon-break demand among riders wanting drier late-July mountain roads. Later batches in September and October tend to have both better road conditions (post-monsoon) and more availability, though riders should expect colder mornings and evenings as the season progresses toward October. As with our other fixed departures, batches marked "Full" are closed to new bookings entirely regardless of rider tier, Solo, Dual, Self Bike, and Seat in Coach seats all draw from the same batch capacity, so a batch can fill up even if only one tier is heavily booked.
